One of the greatest things about friendship at this stage of life is that we can be completely ourselves. No need to impress, no need to pretend. We’ve lived, we’ve learned, and we appreciate realness. Surround yourself with people who embrace you exactly as you are—those are the friendships that last.
I always loved Oprah’s quote:

Love the Oprah quote. I have three virtual friendship circles (and one virtual business support group) and cherish them. Only one started in person. The pandemic pushed us onto Zoom and that allowed the women who had moved away to remain connected. The older I get, the more scattered and/or disconnected my family becomes, the more important these connections become .
