"Life is Good"
But sometimes I get discouraged.
“Life is Good” - I say that all the time and I truly mean it! But sometimes I get discouraged. Sometimes I have to sit down and really give myself a talking to.
I try to celebrate the things that I can do- like walking on the treadmill for 30 min. It takes me that long to walk a mile when I used to be able to do a mile in 20 min. And I WILL be able to do that again but it is going to take time to build up to that. And, as Brock (my cute trainer) says, we need to do just a little bit at a time and it will happen. But, I still get discouraged!
And, also my weight! Ever since I turned 50 I had trouble with my weight - that 10-15 lbs! I keep thinking, why should I have to worry about that when I am 85 yrs old. I should be able to eat anything I want! BUT, if I did that, I would gain weight and I would feel miserable. And, that goes back to what you feel and not what you look like.
SO-I KEEP GOING!! I read this quote the other day:
“Happiness doesn’t come from keeping up with who you used to be, it comes from loving who you are now”! (I love that)
We have to show up for our own life no matter how it looks today. Just show up!
I found this card yesterday that my daughter sent me yrs ago on Mother’s Day:
“Mom”
I said, “I can’t.”
You said, “Try Again”
I said, “It’s too hard”
You said, “Don”t give up”
I said, “What if I fall?”
You said, “I’ll be there to catch you.”
Isn’t that interesting- finding that card and how it helped me today. Somebody will always be there to catch us. So let’s all keep trying and make our life beautiful and not expecting too much of ourselves.
